Out of age, other factors that can increase your risk of hypochlorhydria are chronic stress, excess alcohol consumption, tobacco use, long -term use of heartburn and vitamin deficiencies.

“The most digestive and intestinal health is not just about eliminating foods – it is about restoring optimal stomach acid levels to strengthen our digestion,” Gioffre said.

As such, he recommends going on a small acid-healthy trip-with a simple hack, with two intestinal health ingredients.

Drink 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in ⅓ cup warm water 20 to 30 minutes before your largest meal of the day.

One thing to mention: if you have acid reflux, you will want to pass this type.
