From catwalks to chest compresses.
In a move to modernize a 97-year-old competition and remove its outdated round of bath clothes, the contestants will now be judged for the ability to save life like chest compresses and resurrection of mouth-to-mouth.
Replacing the traditional bikini modeling segment, the newly presented challenge “CPR QUEEN” is the main mind of Miss World England, Milla Magee.
Magee is a trained guard and a harsh lawyer for CPR education after a personal tragedy left her family powerless during an emergency.
Now, the 23-year-old is doing her mission to make sure that no one else has been caught unprepared.
“When my grandparents suffered heart attacks at home, no one knew what to do,” Magee Service News Service told. “Family members were expecting help that came too late.”
The beauty queen added, “if only one of them had known CPR, maybe their story – and mine – it would have been different.”
The new challenge encourages the contestants to present CPR knowledge in creative ways, whether teaching it in their communities or sharing techniques online.

The Miss England competition usually includes segments such as personal interviews, bathing and sportswear, official evening clothing and a round of live questions.
Later this year, local Newquay will personally choose a semifinalist as its CPR Queen official.
“I am struggling to make CPR training compulsory in schools,” said Magee, who created a change of change.org in October 2024 entitled “Go away with CPR – Make CPR Education in English schools.”
Emergency rescue lawyer emphasized, “No one should stay close to when a life can be saved.”
Magee’s campaign, go away with CPR, has already attracted the attention of Parliament – and even Prince William, who recently sent her a support letter as she prepares to compete in Miss World in India next month.
Angie Beasley’s page director is also completely behind the cause – and admits that she only learned CPR because of Magee.
“I have to admit that I didn’t know how to perform the CPR before I met Milla … but I’m glad I know how to do it now,” Beasley revealed for the sins.
She added that realizing how vital “this knowledge is” has made “Milla and I themselves want to share this with future contestants.”
The Miss England competition of 2025 will notice everything, from ethical fashion athletism, but Magee sees the new CPR round as the most significant.
“You have the power to save a life with your bare hands,” Magee said.
She emphasized how “important” it is to “empower, educate and encourage” our younger generations, leaving a “positive heritage for them”.
