Study – led by Dr. Adelina Gschwandtner, a professor of economics at the University of Kent in the UK – also sheds light on the personality traits of pets owners, mentioning that “while cat guardians appear to be more open, dog caregivers appear to be more extroverted, acceptable and less neurotic.”

However, the authors pointed out that “in general, pettiers generally seem to be more open, conscious and extroverted than non-PET caregivers.”
